Heart Health

The heart is a vital organ and its health and full functionality is essential sustaining and maintaining your body's functions. Take a look at some natural approaches to improve your heart health!

GARLIC

Boil a cup of milk with a clove of garlic, cinnamon, and honey and drink it in the morning to strengthen your heart. But make sure your honey is pure and does not have any added sugars. You may also alternatively have a clove of garlic by itself. Try to have it in the morning on an empty stomach, when you get maximize the benefits.

GOLD INFUSED WATER

This might sound a bit bizarre, but it's one of the most useful solutions for better heart health in Ayurveda. Drinking gold-charged water can strengthen your heart and improve certain conditions like arrhythmia, where the heart beats at an irregular pace. 

Procedure:

  • Place a pure piece of gold (~24 karats) in 2 cups of water 

  • Boil the water and simmer until there is ~1 cup of water left

  • Remove the gold item

  • Cool and store water

  • Consume 1 tsp of gold water 2-3 times per day

*Note: The gold won't be damaged by the process, but may lose some shine 

Gold Ring

ARJUNA POWDER

Arjuna powder is highly praised for its heart benefits in Ayurveda. Thus, one way to strengthen the heart is by consuming Arjuna powder on a daily basis. 

Procedure:

  • Take 1/2 tsp of Arjuna powder

  • Mix it with raw honey and warm water

  • Consume it three times per week

Cocoa Powder

TRIPHALA

Triphala powder is a blend of gooseberry, bedda nut, and inknut. It also does wonders in strengthening your heart. It also reduces blood fat levels and stabilizes cholesterol levels. You can purchase triphala powder on amazon, a local indian supermarket, or online ayurvedic websites.

Procedure:

  • Take 500 mg - 1 g of triphala powder

  • Mix with warm water and honey

  • Consume between your meals on an empty stomach around 3 times a day

MAGIC DRINK

The following drink is highly beneficial for people with heart problems and reduces the risk of heat problems such as heart attacks and strokes. This drink reduces bad cholesterol levels, reduces unhealthy fat, and much more! To tackle heart problems, have this drink in the morning on an empty stomach for 7 days. For severe problems, you can have it for a couple more days, but make sure you don't have the drink for more than 2 weeks, because your cholesterol levels can drop too much and other unwanted side effects can occur.

Procedure:

  • Remove the skin off of 2 garlic cloves and then crush it

  • Leave crushed garlic in room temperature for 10 mins(triggers an enzyme reaction that boosts the garlic's beneficial compounds)

  • Boil 1 1/2 cups of water in a pan

  • Pour crushed garlic in when water becomes hot

  • Take a 1 inch piece of ginger and remove its skin

  • Cut into pieces and crush

  • Pour crushed ginger into pan

  • add a 2 in piece of srilankan rolled cinnamon in the pan (you don't have it chop the cinammon in pieces)

  • Take half a piece of lemon and chop it into small pieces (around 8-10 pieces)

  • Pour pieces into pan of hot wate and immediately switch off the flame 

  • Once water cools down to a lower temperature, strain it into a glass

  • Optional: add 1 tsp of raw, unpasteurized honey

HAVE THE DRINK IN MORNINGS ON EMPTY STOMACH FOR 7 DAYS
